Check social media sites you use on a regular basis to ensure no duplicate accounts matching your identity have been created. Report any such accounts as fraudulent to the site administrators and request that these be removed.
Keep an encrypted file containing your account numbers and the phone numbers of all financial organizations with which you do business. This file can be used to quickly address any identity theft scenarios. Securely store account IDs and passwords in a password manager.
