Austin, Texas-based endpoint management and security firm NinjaOne has announced that it’s set to acquire Australian cloud data backup, archiving, and recovery solutions provider Dropsuite.
NinjaOne said it will pay approximately $252 million for Dropsuite — the exact amount may change as it’s based on the current AUD-USD exchange rate. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2025.
NinjaOne has developed an automated endpoint management platform, providing customers with endpoint and mobile device management, RMM, patch management, endpoint security, remote control, and backup products.
Dropsuite offers a data protection solution designed to work with popular cloud services such as Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, Google Workspace and QuickBooks Online. The platform provides data backup, recovery and compliance capabilities.
The plan is to combine NinjaOne’s automated endpoint management platform with Dropsuite’s data protection suite to provide IT and MSP organizations with extended data protection, automated setup and recovery, native multitenancy, and enhanced discovery capabilities.
“Dropsuite will help our customers be more successful by extending data protection from the endpoint to SaaS applications, automating and simplifying backup, and filling critical data protection gaps,” said Sal Sferlazza, CEO and co-founder of NinjaOne.
