Twenty-seven cybersecurity merger and acquisition (M&A) deals were announced in August 2025, a significant drop compared to previous months.
An analysis conducted by SecurityWeek shows that 405 cybersecurity-related mergers and acquisitions were announced in 2024. Check out the detailed report.
Here is a list of the most important cybersecurity M&A deals announced in August 2025:
Professional services giant Accenture has acquired Australian cybersecurity firm CyberCX in an effort to bolster its cybersecurity services in the Asia Pacific region. CyberCX provides consulting, transformation and managed security services. Financial terms were not officially disclosed, but Australian Financial Review reported that the deal valued CyberCX at more than A$1 billion ($650 million).
Belgium-based developer security firm Aikido Security has acquired Trag, a US-based company that provides an AI-powered tool designed to help developers and engineering teams maintain consistent code quality by automatically reviewing pull requests, flagging issues, and providing instant feedback.

CrowdStrike announced plans to acquire Onum, a Spain-based startup that provides real-time telemetry pipeline technology. The cybersecurity giant said the acquisition will bring technology to enhance its Falcon next-gen SIEM. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the acquisition is reportedly valued at $290 million.
Diginex, a company that provides technology solutions for ESG reporting and supply chain risk management, has announced an agreement to acquire Israeli firm Findings, which specializes in automated supply chain risk monitoring and vendor risk automation. Diginex will acquire Findings for up to $305 million, paid in a combination of cash and Diginex shares.
Application delivery and security solutions provider F5 has acquired MantisNet, a company that specializes in real-time network observability and intelligence, mainly in cloud-native and 5G environments. F5 plans on integrating MantisNet capabilities into its Application Delivery and Security Platform (ADSP) to enable organizations to transition to cloud-native architectures while maintaining deep operational visibility, automation, and security.
Incode, a provider of an AI-driven identity and trust platform for businesses, has acquired AuthenticID, an identity verification and fraud detection solutions provider that specializes in authenticating government-issued identification documents and preventing fraud. The combination of the two companies is aimed at creating a powerhouse to fight identity fraud.
Web application security testing solutions provider Invicti has acquired Kondukto, a company that offers an Application Security Posture Management (ASPM) platform to help organizations orchestrate and manage security vulnerabilities across their development lifecycle. Invicti said the deal will enable it to deliver the ability to correlate runtime-validated DAST findings with broader ASPM data for AppSec programs.
KeyData Cyber acquires BeyondID
KeyData Cyber, a security firm specializing in end-to-end identity and access management (IAM) services, announced buying managed identity solutions provider BeyondID, which complements and expands KeyData’s expertise across advisory, implementation, and managed services. BeyondID will become a KeyData Cyber company.
Okta to acquire Axiom Security
IAM giant Okta has acquired Israel-based Axiom Security, which offers a privileged access management (PAM) platform for cloud and other virtual environments. Okta reportedly acquired Axiom Security for an estimated $75 to $100 million. Axiom technology will be integrated into Okta Privileged Access, enabling customers to extend their identity security fabric to more privileged accounts and resources.
SentinelOne to acquire Prompt Security
SentinelOne has acquired AI security firm Prompt Security for an estimated $250 million. SentinelOne aims to extend its AI-native Singularity Platform to secure the use of generative and agentic AI in the workplace. Prompt Security’s capabilities will enable SentinelOne to provide customers the control they need to enable safe adoption.
