Gambling Tech Firm Bragg Discloses Cyberattack – Source: www.securityweek.com

Gaming content and technology giant Bragg Gaming Group over the weekend fell victim to a cyberattack impacting its internal systems.

The incident, the gambling solutions provider announced on Monday, occurred early Sunday morning, but did not impact its operations.

“Based on preliminary investigations, the company believes that the data breach was limited to Bragg’s internal computer environment,” Bragg said.

The company said it immediately took steps to mitigate the impact of the attack and that it retained external security experts to assist with response and remediation.

According to Bragg, although the attackers did access data on the compromised systems, no personal information appears to have been accessed.

“Additionally, the breach has had no impact on the ability of the company to continue its operations, nor has it been restricted from accessing any data that has been subject to the breach,” Bragg said.

The company has not shared details on how the incident occurred or who was responsible for it. Bragg did not say what type of cyberattack it fell victim to either, but it appears that ransomware was not deployed, as the company was not locked out of its systems.

Bragg is a known provider of iGaming content and technology solutions for the gambling industry, including online and real-life casinos. It provides a Player Account Management (PAM) platform for access to online gambling portals, and the Fuze Player Engagement platform.
