Forty-nine cybersecurity-related merger and acquisition (M&A) deals were announced in November 2024. This was a record month for 2024 in terms of M&A deals. 

An analysis conducted by SecurityWeek shows that 178 cybersecurity M&A deals were announced in the first half of 2024, representing the least busy half year since SecurityWeek started tracking M&A deals in 2021.

Here is a list of the most important cybersecurity M&A deals announced in November 2024: 

Belden acquires Voleatech

Networking and security products manufacturer Belden and its wholly owned subsidiary Hirschmann Automation and Control have acquired Germany-based Voleatech from AAC Holding. Voleatech specializes in OT cybersecurity solutions, particularly firewalls. Belden said it paid $6 million for Voleatech.

Bitsight acquires Cybersixgill

Cyber risk management firm Bitsight announced a $115 million deal to acquire Israel-based threat intelligence data provider Cybersixgill. The acquisition will allow Bitsight to deliver comprehensive visibility into external attack surfaces, threats, and supply chains.

CrowdStrike to acquire Adaptive Shield

Cybersecurity giant CrowdStrike is buying Israel-based SaaS security company Adaptive Shield. CrowdStrike plans on integrating Adaptive Shield technology into its Falcon platform, to boost both identity and cloud capabilities. CrowdStrike will reportedly pay $300 for Adaptive Shield.

Cybereason and Trustwave merge

Endpoint detection and response (EDR) firm Cybereason and managed security services provider (MSSP) Trustwave have announced plans to merge. The strategic consolidation expands both companies’ technologies, managed services, advisory solutions and threat intelligence capabilities to deliver managed XDR, offensive security, digital forensics and incident response. 

Databarracks acquires COOLSPIRiT

Technology and business resilience firm Databarracks has acquired COOLSPIRiT, a data management and business-critical IT infrastructure solutions provider, in an effort to form a data protection powerhouse.

Malwarebytes acquires AzireVPN

Malwarebytes announced the acquisition of AzireVPN, a Swedish company that sells privacy-focused VPN services. Malwarebytes will integrate AzireVPN’s VPN technologies and intellectual property into expanded product lines.    

N-Able acquires Adlumin

Security, remote monitoring and management, and data protection solutions provider N‑able has acquired Adlumin, a provider of an enterprise-grade security operations platform, for $266 million. The deal allows N-able to add cloud-native extended detection and response (XDR) and managed detection and response (MDR) capabilities to its security and IT management platform. 

ServiceNow acquires Mission Secure

ServiceNow has acquired OT-native zero trust security solutions provider Mission Secure. As a result of the deal, ServiceNow customers will gain visibility and context into their OT environments, helping them minimize downtime.

Silverfort acquires Rezonate

Identity security company Silverfort has acquired cloud identity protection firm Rezonate. The deal enables Silverfort to expand its cloud identity security offering to deliver a complete identity security platform.

Snyk acquires Probely

Developer security firm Snyk has acquired Portugal-based dynamic application security testing (DAST) provider Probely, which also powers the popular Security Headers tool. The deal enables Snyk to add API security testing capabilities to its offering, including for AI development. 

Wiz acquires Dazz

Cloud security giant Wiz announced a deal to buy Dazz, adding an AI-powered cloud security remediation engine to its suite of enterprise products. Financial terms of the deal were not released but industry sources confirm the price tag is in the range of $450 million.
